Pond plants found in ghost pond

We were very excited to find water plantain and stonewort growing in one of our newly dug ponds. This particular pond location was chosen because it was the site of one that we know was filled in during the 1950s. Now it is the only one of our 6 ponds with any plant life. Also pleased to see insects beginning to colonise including chasers, darters, hawkers and damselflies.
